Mold Remediation

Mold is a moisture problem.

Removing mold is only half the job. We contain the area, remove the growth, and help address the moisture that let it grow.

Signs you may have mold

  • A musty, earthy smell that doesn't go away
  • Dark spots or fuzzy growth on walls, ceilings, or around windows
  • Peeling paint, bubbling drywall or warped baseboards
  • A past leak or flood that may not have fully dried
  • Ongoing condensation or high humidity in basements, bathrooms or attics

Why not just wipe it off?

Mold often grows inside walls and under flooring where you can't see it. Scrubbing or disturbing it without containment can release spores into other parts of the building. And if the moisture source isn't fixed, it tends to come back.

How remediation works

Assessment

We look for visible growth, check moisture levels, and try to locate the water source.

Containment

The affected area is sealed off to help keep spores from spreading during work.

Removal and cleaning

Contaminated porous materials such as drywall or insulation are removed; salvageable surfaces are cleaned.

Drying and prevention

The area is dried and we explain what can be done to keep moisture from returning.
